How to start: first steps and platform guide

This guide walks you from an empty browser window to a running, monitored setup on Suretiform, in four steps and about one week of relaxed waiting. By the end you will have a verified account, a funded balance, strategies selected to your risk appetite, and a dashboard you actually understand. Nothing here requires prior trading knowledge; every step explains what it is for, not just where to click.

Time it takes

Registration: 2 minutes. Manager call: within 24 hours. Verification: usually one business day. First deposit: instant to 3 business days by method.

Money it takes

From NZ$400 for the Basic plan. No monthly fee, and the tier amount is trading capital you can withdraw, not a subscription.

The four steps in detail

Each step lists what to do and why it matters, because a guide that only says "click here" teaches nothing.

1Register your account

Complete the registration form with your legal name, email, phone and a password you use nowhere else. Use accurate details from the start: they must later match your identity documents, and fixing a mismatch takes longer than typing correctly the first time. Registration itself involves no deposit and no commitment.

Immediately after registering, enable two-factor authentication in the security section. Choose an authenticator app over SMS where you can, write the recovery codes on paper, and store them somewhere that is not your email inbox. This single minute is the highest-value security action on the whole platform.

Your personal manager will call within 24 hours to introduce themselves, confirm your goals, and schedule the verification conversation. Write your questions down as they occur to you; the call is exactly the place for them.

2Connect your exchange access

Suretiform does not ask you to send digital assets anywhere. Instead, strategies operate through a connection to your account on a supported exchange, authorised by an API key you create yourself on that exchange, with rights limited to what the platform needs.

When you create the key, enable read and trade permissions, and leave withdrawal permission switched off; Suretiform never needs it, and a key without it cannot move your assets off the exchange even in the worst case. Paste the key into the platform's connection screen, confirm, and the connection appears in your account with its scope, creation date and last use visible. You can revoke or rotate the key at any time, from either side.

Your manager will stay on the line the first time you do this, and the platform shows a green status once data flows. If the status turns red, do not create new keys on top; tell support and let them untangle it, which is faster and safer.

3Set up analysis and monitoring

Now the platform knows what to watch. Select the markets you want followed: the default set covers major currency pairs, gold, top digital assets and leading share indices, and you can narrow it to instruments you care about. Then choose your strategy profile: Conservative favours smaller exposure and earlier pauses, Balanced is the middle path, and Growth accepts larger swings for larger targets.

Set your notifications: a weekly summary email, alerts when a strategy pauses, and an alert if daily movement exceeds a threshold you set. These settings are not decoration; they are how you stay in command of an automated system. The volatility pause, which halts strategies when markets turn extreme, should stay on unless you have a considered reason otherwise.

4Review and manage from the dashboard

The dashboard shows balance, running strategies, recent activity and performance history in one screen, with plain-language labels throughout. Check it once a day or once a week as suits you; the point of automation is that it does not need babysitting, only supervision. From here you can pause any strategy, adjust thresholds, request a withdrawal, or download a statement for your records.

Make a habit of reading the monthly report end to end: what ran, what it earned or lost, what fees applied. Members who read their reports ask better questions, and members who ask better questions make calmer decisions.

Your first week, honestly

What new members actually experience in week one, so nothing takes you by surprise.

Days one and two

Verification clears, the manager call happens, and your settings are chosen. The dashboard shows a quiet portfolio with the strategies you selected and nothing much happening yet, which is normal: the engine is watching, not performing for an audience.

Days three to five

First positions open and close according to conditions. Some days show small gains, some small losses, and some show nothing at all. Members who expected fireworks report disappointment; members who expected a process report relief.

The first weekend

Digital-asset strategies keep working while share markets rest, so a Sunday glance can show movement your Thursday self did not cause. Alerts only fire for what you told them to fire for, so an empty inbox is good news, not neglect.

Questions worth asking the manager

Why my positions differ from another member's, what my exposure cap is doing right now, and how my first report will explain a losing day. Good early questions set up good long-term understanding.

Important notes before your first deposit

No promise of profit

Nothing in this guide, on the platform, or from our team is a promise of any result. Strategies can and do lose money in some periods, and past performance does not ensure future results.

Market risk is real

Digital assets, currencies and shares all move against positions. Read the Risk Disclosure and deposit only money whose loss would not change your plans.

Decisions stay yours

The platform automates execution, not judgement. You choose the strategies, the guardrails and the amounts, and you can change or stop any of them at any time.
